About Fiona:
I am a passionate yoga teacher. I have been practising yoga over 20 years, teaching for 15 years
and owning and running my schools for over 10 years. My first training was the 26&2 (Bikram). I then went on to train in Vinyasa, Yin Yoga, Kundalini Yoga, Katonnah Yoga and most recently pre-natal yoga. Doing trainings and teaching yoga took me around the world and all the way backhome where I set up my own yoga school, Dublin City Hot Yoga. Last year I joined forces with Anne Parsons to open Yoga Yard in Irishtown.
Before I opened DCHY I practiced as a yoga athlete for many years which took my physical and
mental practice to another level. Practising anything is an investment and I am so grateful to have been able to invest so much for so many years. I now have a 3 year old daughter, and my
‘practice’ and life as a whole is much different!
What I love most about this retreat is the amount of time we have together to explore many of the yoga styles I love to practice and teach. We typically start the day with traditional pranayama and dynamic breath work from the Kundalini tradition. After breakfast we practice a 1.5 – 2 hour Intermediate Hot Class, based on the Hot26 but that expands in many directions, focusing on different skill sets each day. In the evening we typically practice a non heated style class, Hatha Flow, Katonnah Yoga or Yin Yoga, depending on the group, the day, the mood! If you want to immerse yourself, go deeper by simply lots of yoga and seeing what that can do for you, then this retreat is for you!
