General Principles
We are the company Mindful World Retreats, Lda., owner of the brand and of the D’Alijo Retreat Centre. We respect the privacy of users and are committed to protecting the confidentiality of personal information provided to us, in accordance with current legislation, in particular the General Data Protection Regulation.

Privacy and Personal Data
The Resort Privacy Policy, hereafter referred to as the Policy, applies to all data collected, arising from the use of this website, which may identify you as a natural person, and by doing so you express your consent to the processing of your personal data in the terms set out in this Policy. We hope this Policy will help you understand what kind of information we collect, why we collect it and how we process it. Personal data is any information that can be used to identify an individual, such as name, email address, postal address, telephone/mobile number, or other information necessary for the Resort to provide the requested service to the end user.

In conjunction with its technology partners who provide features for the booking engine and newsletter subscription, the Resort does not automatically collect any personal information. All personal information is provided, with the user’s consent, via forms that serve the following purposes:

Providing services for bookings and reservations – in order for us to provide you with our services, we will process the personal data strictly necessary for this purpose. In addition, your data will also be processed for all communication prior and subsequent to the provision of services until the whole process is completed;

Provision of communication services, clarification of doubts, suggestions and/or complaints;

Marketing purposes – where we will let you know about our news, promotions etc.

All end users will be subject to the collection of non-personal data for statistical purposes, from the IP Address (address indicating the location of a given computer), the Browser you use, the Operating System (OS) you use, the number of interactions and the time you have been on the website, no connection will be made between the IP address, or other non-personal data, and any user registered on our database. The Resort will retain the personal data provided for the period necessary to provide the services, billing and compliance with legal obligations.

Information Sharing and Data Security
The Resort does not sell the personal data of its users to third parties. The Hotel may transfer registered personal information to other companies or persons in the following circumstances: when consent is given by the user to do so or when this is necessary to provide a product or service (in these cases only the minimum information necessary to satisfy the request is transferred). Despite all efforts, it is not possible to guarantee the full and absolute inviolability of the security of the information in your possession, and you are therefore urged to take every precaution with regard to the protection of personal data when using the Internet.

Right to Change, Correct, and Delete Data
By law, you can ask us what information we collect about you and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate. We ask for your consent to process your personal data; you may withdraw that consent at any time. We may process your personal data because you have given us consent or to fulfill a contract, and you may ask us for a copy of the information in digital format so that you can transfer it to another provider. We may process your personal data because you have given us consent or legitimate interest, and you may request that your data be deleted.

You have the right to ask us to suspend the processing of your personal data if you believe that we are not doing so lawfully. Finally, you may ask us not to do automated processing or profiling in some circumstances. If you wish your personal information to be removed from the Hotel’s computer records, you may, at any time, exercise your right to cancel and delete your data.

This document may be modified at any time as our services and processing of personal data evolve. If we intend to use your personal data in a way that we have not previously identified, we will contact you to provide information about that use and, if necessary, ask for your consent. If the change is substantial and has implications for the way the Hotel uses the personal data of its users, you will be informed by a notice on the home page of the website.

Social Networks
Our website contains references (links) to apply to external social networks such as Facebook (“social plug-ins”). The functions assigned to the links, especially the transmission of user information and data, are activated only when the user clicks on the respective link. Once you click on the link from the social network, a direct connection is established with its servers and the user’s data may be transferred. From that moment on, the Social Network will be the sole responsible for the treatment of the user’s data.

English fluently, Portuguese, French or Spanish on the side is very helpful.

What you get:

Days off per week

Explore gorgeous landscapes, walking trails, river, natural pool and impressing rock formations. You can use our swimming pool and our gym.

Safari tent

You will have a bed in our Glamping Safari tent and share that tent with the other volunteer. Housekeeping, bedlinen, and towels will be provided by D’Alijo.

Meals

You are entitled to a free breakfast, lunch and dinner, every day of your stay.

Free laundry

You can use our laundry room freely.

Transfers to & from D’Alijo

Free transfer from the airport in Porto or train station.
