Join me for ‘Embracing Change’, a warm, supportive retreat where you can focus on your well-being and reconnect with yourself. This is a chance to step away from your daily routine and dedicate time to you.

A Week in Portugal awaits

Come for a week in the beautiful D’alijo Retreat Center in sunny Portugal, surrounded by wonderful women and me as your guide.

Experience the chaos of heavy moods, achy joints, and other hormonal shifts and seek a way to restore balance.

What to expect during the retreat

During this retreat, you’ll enjoy inspiring body-strengthening sessions, soothing meditation and yoga nidra, and activities designed to relax and recharge you. This will be a week you’ll never forget!

Retreat Highlights

Tailored yoga and exercises

Enjoy sessions designed to relax your nervous system and build strength and stability, which are essential for this stage of life. We’ll also incorporate exercises using resistance bands, so please bring one similar to this one.

Cooking for hormonal health

During the retreat, the D’alijo team will prepare meals designed to support your hormonal health, allowing you to experience the benefits firsthand. You’ll also learn how to continue this at home with some recipes and knowledge about the best foods to eat during this phase to help you feel your best.

Join a supportive community

Embrace the change with me. Reserve your spot today and join a community of women who understand and support each other on this journey. We will make time to share and connect, allowing us to learn from and support each other as we process our experiences together. Spots are limited to just 24 participants, so don’t wait!

Continued support after the retreat

To give you extra support and help you continue this journey when you return home, there’ll also be an online session with a menopause expert (plus a chance to book a private session separately).

Daily Schedule

08:00 – 09:00: Meditation and Pranayama

09:00 – 11:00: Breakfast and break (in silence)

11:00 – 13:00: Yoga practice

13:00 – 17:00: Lunch and free time

17:00 – 19:00: Talks, Awareness practices, Yin and/or Restorative yoga leading into Yoga Nidra

19:00 – 20:00: Dinner and free time

Note: Mornings are spent in silence until the yoga practice at 11:00 to allow for deeper restoration of body and mind.

At the same time, everything is optional, allowing you to either fully immerse in the rhythm of daily practice or take a slower, more relaxed approach that suits your pace. Beginners to hot yoga are welcome!

What you offer:

Tidy restaurant and toilets before and after mealtimes.

At least one month in the period May – September.

Language

English fluently, Portuguese, French or Spanish on the side is very helpful.

What you get:

Days off per week

Explore gorgeous landscapes, walking trails, river, natural pool and impressing rock formations. You can use our swimming pool and our gym.

Safari tent

You will have a bed in our Glamping Safari tent and share that tent with the other volunteer. Housekeeping, bedlinen, and towels will be provided by D’Alijo.

Meals

You are entitled to a free breakfast, lunch and dinner, every day of your stay.

Free laundry

You can use our laundry room freely.

Transfers to & from D’Alijo

Free transfer from the airport in Porto or train station.
