Join renowned senior international teacher, Nicky Hadjithoma, for the much-anticipated new module from Yintelligence. This specialised program is designed to equip yoga practitioners and teachers, of all styles, with the knowledge of how to explore and teach individualised yoga.
In a series of focused yang posture clinics, we will look in detail at a variety of key traditional Hatha poses, including standing poses, backbends, arm balances and inversions – exploring how skeletal variations in the shoulder, spine, pelvis and tibia will affect the appropriate ‘alignment’ for each student.
We will carefully deconstruct and reconstruct the standard alignment cues to analyse their effectiveness across a broad range of student bodies, before learning how to communicate functional cues that will ensure students are guided safely and effectively in and out of each posture.
Our goal is to learn how to skillfully teach traditional yang (Hatha/ Vinyasa) poses based on function over aesthetics – empowering students to honour their unique physicality, supporting a more effective, safe, sustainable and long-term yoga practice, for all.
