We invite you to join us at in the beautiful hills of Northern Portugal, for a nourishing week of sangha, satsang, sadhana and svadhyaya.
‘Escape from Samsara’ is the theme for our 2026 immersion. Samsara is the cycle of life, death and rebirth that our soul (atman) continues to experience, until our karmic debts and unsatisfied desires (vasanas) are resolved or let go of. The ultimate goal of our yoga practice is to uncover and alleviate ourselves from our karma-creating actions (samskaras) and vasanas, so that we can achieve liberation (moksha) and “abide in our own true nature”.
We will practice, study and reflect on key aspects of Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras, exploring it as a framework for conscious living and unpack how to apply these profound principles to our spiritual lives, to attain freedom from suffering.
Each day will include carefully themed yin and yang asana practices, meditation, philosophical discussions and daily reflections – designed for students to practice the art of self-inquiry (svadhyaya), so as to uncover the obstacles that stand in the way of us living from our Highest nature.
The week will hold space for deep integration, with long unscheduled afternoons carved out for swimming, hiking, massages, taking in nature, or simply for rest and recuperation.
Open to all practitioners interested in exploring the path of yoga, beyond asana.
**The retreat offers 40 CEU’s for teacher’s working towards the Yintelligence 300hr curriculum, or simply wishing to add the hours to their Yoga Alliance credentials.
